Key responsibilities

  • Co-ordinates, projects and prepares with management budget, forecasts, profit programming, projects and cost analyses contributing toward a more profitable operation.
  • Supervises the maintenance of and co-ordinate with Regional Controller all hotel accounting procedures and controls in compliance with Mövenpick policies & procedures as well as local requirements.
  • Daily communication with management regarding control for expense and income potentials.
  • Works with all departments of the hotel in any function directly or indirectly pertaining to expense and finance.
  • Staffs, trains, supervises, evaluates and upgrades controller department employees.
  • Checks, supervises and controls all purchases, disbursements, payroll and expense of the hotel.
  • Maintains a basic knowledge of all local laws pertaining to hotel operations and communicates with General Manager and Regional Controller on any pending changes.
  • Key requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • Some roles may require French or Arabic speakers
  • Experience in the African continent
  • Accounting degree
  • Understanding of IFRS and USALI
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Business partner oriented.
  • Software experience : OPERA, SUN
