Currently we have the opportunity for a dynamic Sales Manager to join our team in Cairo Johannesburg and be responsible for the North-

West African market (Maghreb, Egypt, Francophone West Africa)

As a Sales Manager Sleep & Respiratory Care (SRC) you will implement and track the regional Sales & Marketing strategies in the specific sales area of North-

West Africa in order to achieve Sales & Marketing goals, as well as contributing to achieve Africa and SRC International objectives.

You will report to the Commercial Leader Africa Personal Health

You are responsible for :

  • Implementing and tracking the sales & marketing strategies with the given concepts to achieve and maximize awareness of Philips SRC technologies and products.
  • Managing the dealer structure in the area. Developing and maintaining excellent relationship with distributor management and sales forces.
  • Share information about the actual situation with the management in order to solve the relevant issues with the distributor.

  • Developing new distribution channels for SRC in the territory.
  • Planning and organizing workshops in the scope of marketing and promotion of our technologies and products according company rules and track the results.
  • Developing and maintaining relationship with opinion leaders, sleep labs, insurance companies, patient groups and relevant decision makers in the hospitals.
  • Motivating and training the distributor sales team according to the company rules and standards.
  • Planning and organizing regular local Dealer Meetings.
  • Monitoring and supporting tender participation.
  • Maintaining and controlling pricing structure and manage price list and ensure proper setup in the SAP system with the responsible departments.
  • Monitoring customer related customer service activities.
  • Managing local registration of products for reimbursement and country specific regulations.
  • Collecting market and competition data in order to develop and supply complete market intelligence in order to identify market dynamics and keep management informed.
  • Understanding and communicating customer needs. Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved. Interface with the rest of the territory organization and Marketing team in order to communicate and recommend specific market needs.
  • Providing all required reports in a timely manner (e.g. weekly reports, tracking sheets, travel expenses)
  • Participating at local and international congresses, trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Identifying lack of product knowledge and key competencies and communicate to the management.
  • Taking full responsibility of the demo equipment and use it in an effective and economic way.
  • Organizing weekly tours in an effective and economic way.
  • To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience :

  • Business, Technical or medical university degree
  • 7 years + of solid experience in Sales of Sleep & Respiratory products
  • Ability to work with data in order to make decisions
  • Experience in cooperation with Key Opinion Leaders
  • Business driven and self-starter
  • Good presentation skills
  • Fluent in English, French and Arabic is a must
  • Ability to use MS Office (Excel)
  • Readiness to travel extensively (40%)
