Your main responsibilities in this role will include :
Global BU Strategy :
As Head of key unit in Egypt & Central Africa, the Local BU Manager has full responsibility for the business, including P&L & balance sheets, in line with the strategies and targets agreed with the Group Divisions and the respective Divisions.
Implementing BU market strategies taking into account global strategies & local market constraints.
Local BU Strategy :
Fully responsible for the Local BU in Egypt and Central Africa units (Nigeria, Cameroon & Senegal)
Fully responsible for the implementation of the Local BU strategy, targets and approaches to prioritized channels and customer segments.
Deciding on the different approaches to the local market.
Establishing annual budgets and 3-5 years strategic plans for all local units in Egypt & Central Africa.
Delivering business results in accordance to and / or exceeding budget.
Control of expense budget.
Fully responsible for the establishment of Local Product Group (LPG) investment plans and purchase of assets.
Fully responsible for the establishment of marketing strategies and their implementation.
Implementing the Regional Drives Service HUB responsible for Egypt & Central Africa
Constantly growing the service business with the highest standards according to ABB.
Set & lead execution of OHS strategic plans, & ensure that the operation is OHS guided
Ensuring operational excellence & service quality
Establishing and maintaining relations with key customers in Egypt & Central Africa
Business Opportunities :
Building and retaining long lasting relationship with prospective, existing and new customers.
Monitoring and driving achievement of sales & service sales strategy.
Managing customer relationship and conducting customer review for existing and new customers.
Actively participating in sales activities for key customers.
People Management :
Fully responsible for the establishment of hiring, training & succession plans to ensure manpower availability and competence.
Reviewing, monitoring and modifying action plans for direct reports.
Guiding, coaching & motivating both direct and indirect subordinates within assigned HR policies.
As the ideal candidate, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration with 10-15 years of prior work experience in similar business.
Previous experience in ABB or drives is highly preferable. Proficiency in both spoken & written English & French language is required. French is a plus.
