Division & Project Overview : URC is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID / Inter-community Girls Empowerment Activity in Egypt.
The Chief of Party will provide technical support to guide the improved and sustained services that promote tolerance and understanding between different communities in Upper Egypt and Cairo, And services that empower girls.
The expected duration of the project is five years. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval.
Roles and Responsibilities : The Chief of Party for will provide comprehensive support to USAID and Egyptian counterparts to ensure all program objectives are met in a high-quality and timely manner and that overall technical assistance provided by the program exceeds expectations and facilitates increased access and quality of services.
Key responsibilities will include providing managerial and technical oversight and overall support for the program through design and implementation, liaise directly with program stakeholders including counterparts at the government of Egypt, local CBOs, NGOs, and institutes of higher education, and oversee the execution of program strategy, scopes of work and strategic planning to integrate and leverage relevant activities.
The COP will be based Cairo, Egypt, and will report directly to the URC Corporate Monitor. Minimum Qualifications : Required Experience & Qualifications
Specific experience in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, organizing activities focused on empowering girls, and experience working in Egypt is preferred.
