Purpose of the job
To lead and direct the key performance indicators consistent with established operations and maintenance standards, processes, system performance and customer specifications.
Responsibilities will include analyzing, reporting and development of performance improvement and quality control to ensure satisfactory delivery of Corporate objectives and contractual requirements.
Key responsibilities and challenges :
Leadership Build, lead and develop an effective organization.Communicate key objectives and priorities set forth by the Director and be accountable for the achievement of key performance indicators.
Create a work environment that reflects the content and spirit of the Code of Ethics.Measure and evaluate departments to ensure they achieve service reliability and revenue and profitability objectives.
Ensure performance improvement recommendations are communicated appropriately and timely to department managers, immediately address any shortcomings leading to adverse financial impact to the contract.

Customer Relationship Develop relationships with the client that promote customer excellence and shareholder value by reaching agreements that achieve customer expectations, Company goals and interests.

Administration Enforce Company policies and procedures and ensure rewards and consequences are applied consistently and fairly throughout the departments.
Conduct performance reviews and provide guidance to subordinates.Ensure that all Company related documents, data, time and materials are tracked and recorded completely and accurately in Company systems and comply with all legal reporting requirements.
Audit work processes and standards to ensure work is being performed according to the Company’s commitment of excellence.
Safety Enforce the Company’s safety policies and organizations safety rules and monitor employees, contractors and vendors for compliance and adherence to safety rules and regulations.
Guide departments to conduct safety audits and risks analysis to ensure job tasks, facilities and tools are in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
4 year degree in business desired and a minimum of 5 years of operations and maintenance experience with a transit system.
Advanced level skills in planning, budgeting, performance management, customer relations.Effective written and oral communications skills.
Intermediate level of skills in windows based and Microsoft Office applications
Advanced level of knowledge in Bombardier’s business practices, books and record keeping, communication, employment practices, performance management, health, safety and environment.
Progressive management experience in developing and leading organizations, planning, preferably in the transportation industry, with profit and loss responsibility.
Must have ability to lead others during crisis situations.
Understand the critical components of operations and maintenance and how they interrelate and manage their interdependent processes and procedures.
Provide leadership that inspires active participation, a sense of shared ownership and accountability among employees.Collaborate across departmental lines and boundaries to resolve issues and to guide change in a positive manner
Competent in solving technical, employee and client problems and executing effective corrective measures.Ability to establish priorities, effectively delegate, establish clear work expectations and hold employees accountable.
Ensures all appropriate measures have been taken to prevent or minimize reoccurrence of problems and issues. Reports fully to the Director on events that require his / her attention, review or approval
