  • Shell Egypt runs workshop-based sessions aimed at delivering today's practical business skills to students through lectures and training conducted by experienced Shell hires, such as the Step Towards Progress (STP) at Cairo University;
  • the Annual Conference for Engineering Students (ACES) & the Give and Gain programme at Ain Shams University, the Real Life Project at the American University of Cairo and the Al Amal Programme (Hope Programme).

    Purpose & Accountabilities :

  • As a Concept Engineer you will be responsible for the Pre-DG3 Facilities work content and quality in a given project / study.
  • You will contribute to development concepts, value optimization, handover to execution and identification of associated uncertainties.

    You will ensure full seamless integration with other discipline’s as appropriate

  • You will execute Concept Selection Reports and Bases for Design as required as well as all mandatory PCAP requirements aligned with ORS and Project Phase.
  • Contribute to overall technical and economical evaluations of E&P opportunities
  • Facilitate frequent communication with peers in the area / studies teams, such that best practices, opportunities for synergy and transfer of technology are realized
  • Participate in peer reviews, project assists, and formal project reviews with the objective of ensuring projects are properly assured to avoid findings at decision gates
  • Contribute to the development of departmental plans and work methods
  • Requirements

  • Robust Concept Engineering experience in supporting Pre-DG3 Projects Shell-Accredited- CE Lvl1 or Lvl2 preferred via Stage-
  • Gate Processes and Best Practice tools - inclusive of Value Assurance and Competitive Scoping.

  • Frequent use of decision-based planning tool including, development of PCAP, TECOP evaluation as and infrastructure optimization (ullage management).
  • Facilities Engineering experience in offshore and onshore environments is preferred including EOR Waterflooding as well as Greenfield-
  • Brownfield Integration.

  • HSE awareness, ability to integrate key HSE requirements into development projects.
  • Exposure to NOVs / JV, team player with proven track record. Local knowledge preferred.
