About the job
The Transport Manager is in charge of applying the operational policy defined in accordance with the Operation Direction.
He / She has to manage CCP, PCP and Driver operations (+130 people in 2021).
Assists the Operation Director in his duties.
Makes sure the transport offer is delivered in accordance with operation engineering manager, maintenance direction, and customer services direction.
Is responsible for setting up processes, methods, and organization for operations, such as :
oCCP operation : where all information converges concerning the Operation of the system and consequently where the most important decisions are taken concerning the system, and mainly the safety of passengers, employees and the equipment,
oRunning trains of line 3 and futures extensions of line 3 (Phase 4),
Defines medium- and long-term strategies for operations for the line(s) he manages.
Validates and deploys corrective action plans following performance analyses.
Guarantees operational KPI targets of the line are met.
Validates the Work Permit schedule of the week, submitted by the Work Permit Officer during the weekly Line Access Meeting.
Interviews and validates new staff after the HR process.
Personnel, who manage, perform and verify work affecting quality, railway safety, workplace safety (OH&S) and impacting on the environment shall :
Ensures staffs under their control are aware of their responsibilities relating to the company's Rail Safety Manual, Health & Safety Manual and current Policies & Procedures.
Initiates actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformance relating to the company's Rail Safety standards.

A registered qualified engineer with 15 years' experience in Transport Operations, including 10 years in an executive position in public transportation with extended teams.
Fluency in English is a must (written and spoken); Arabic is a strong asset
Diploma / Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. / M.Sc. with Physics / Electronics / Computer Science.
Defining medium and long term strategies for Operation of the lines
Drafting operation rules & procedures
Drafting training documentation
Communication skills (Oral and Written)
Possess extensive knowledge of railway systems.
Ability to undertake hands on work in core area and on safety issues.
Extensive knowledge of start-up operations.
Basic comprehension of Electrical power and Mechanical Engineering.
Thoroughness in planning and execution.
Ability to analyze situations and take quick decisions.
Demonstrated capability of developing innovative solutions to manage sensitive industrial relations issues.
Excellent Planning, Conceptual and Consultative skills. Effective co-ordination.
Must be able to work under presure and meet strict deadlines.
Well adept at time-management.
