Role purpose :
Provide 2nd Line Support and maintenance in Transmission domain at all technical levels of operation.
Implement transmission planning / engineering plans, targets and change requests and fixes implementation.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
Ensure update of backhaul transmission network designs.
Implement change requests in compliance with SM change management process.
Implement maintenance / preventive maintenance activities in alignment with SM maintenance rules.
Solve performance issues raised by performance & quality team.
Participate in rollout of new technologies.
Participate in projects of network quality, availability and resilience.
Interface with other teams in projects of mutual interest.
High-quality reporting of network operations, maintenance and projects.
Escalate and follow up on network design issues to planning team.

support team members by knowledge sharing
conducting sessions to team members and other teams as well
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
Minimum 4 years of experience in telecommunication field.
Recommended at least 3 years in the transmission operation field.
Excellent knowledge of transmission / transport concepts and configuration (PDH-SDH-Ethernet-IP-Routing-MPLS).
Hands-on experience on major transmission providers (Huawei, E / / / , SIAE) preferable in Access, Backhaul and backbone domains.
Must have technical / professional qualifications :
BSC of Engineering in Communications or Electronics
Excellent command of the English language
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure
CCNA certification or equivalent is a must
Key performance indicators :
Provide visibility through regular reports and keep record of all activities in the areas of responsibility.
Provide management with relevant technical reports.
Keep the work not done due to limitation in low traffic window to the minimum
IDC % is less that 0.5%
